A relatively recent addition to the Rhone Valley – and a rising star indeed – the wines of Olivier Ravoire came about after Roger Ravoire created the family wine business in 1987 at the foot of the Luberon in Provence. Born in a family of winegrowers and having dedicated his entire career in wine business, Roger endeavours to offer his best experience in elaborating the best wines of the region.
When his son Olivier joined the company in 2004, they established the name Ravoire & Fils, working closely with some of the best grape growers in the southern Rhône, offering a range of individual estate wines to complement their own premium quality cuvees.
Olivier’s success is not a coincidence. With his own label Olivier Ravoire he masters the traditional style acquired from his father, and adds to it a strong passion (he reckons his veins flow with Côtes du Rhône!) to craft wines from across the region – from Cotes du Rhone, Chateauneuf-du-Pape, to Crozes Hermitage and Cote Rotie – that reflect the authenticity of the soil and the originality of the vintage.
